    I’m freaking out!

I’m freaking out trying to “finalize” my notes and the study guide for the dvd project: – “This is TOO deep. No one will want to follow all of this. Why do I keep using all of these theological terms? What is WRONG with me?!” – “This is SO simple! Everyone knows this! Why am I even DOING THIS ANYWAY? This has ALL been said a MILLION times by a MILLION people who all said it a MILLION TIMES better than I ever could.” – “AURGH! This is too much material!” – “DOUBLE AURGH! Everyone has already HEARD all of this and HEARD all of these examples! I should ADD…

Oh my! This is sobering …

I just found out that a woman was KILLED near our home in pretty much the same car accident that I had last month. Two-lane road. Snow and ice. She swerved into oncoming traffic with no warning and for no apparent reason. And she died. Amazingly–a member of our church (with medical training) was in the car RIGHT BEHIND the one she struck; and four cars back there was another vehicle with THREE women from our church (one of whom is a nurse). The two friends with medical training spent a long time helping the man who had been hit (his legs were crushed into the dashboard) and they even…

    Watch this space (again)!

OK. I’m in the zone to get a (very rough!) first draft of the dvd study guide to the producer/director today and I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts/advice. SO … if I get it done and if I can figure out how to post it … watch this space and let me know your thoughts. I’d really like to have the (very rough) draft wrapped up by tomorrow night if at all possible. Thanks, guys!   Love and blessings, Tara B.

    Hello Virginia!

A happy, snowy hello to all of the ladies I met in Virginia this past weekend! I hope that you all returned home safely–thankfully I made all three flights and was home by 1:30AM. Praise the Lord! Hey–I wanted to let you know the name of the book on the doctrine of sin that I couldn’t remember in one of my teachings for you guys … it is: The Enemy Within, by Kris Lundgaard. (Sorry I completely spaced in during our session! My brain froze.) Also: I want to encourage you to sign up for our discussion board and drop me an email to let me know. Everyone from our…

    A “not hopeless” case …

I was feeling hopeless (again) about certain unbelievers that I have prayed for for years and years and years (and years!). And then I read this RZIM Slice of Infinity. What an encouragement! I hope it blesses you too.   Happy Wednesday! Yours, Tara B.

    Pessimism? Sorrow? (thanks, Dr. Z!)

Another STELLAR daily devotional from Ravi Zacharias Ministries. (Do you subscribe yet? 🙂 ) Please check it out–you’ll be blessed! I’ll tempt you with just one line:   “G.K. Chesterton makes a significant point: there is a world of difference between sorrow and pessimism. He explains, “Sorrow is founded on the value of something, and pessimism upon the value of nothing.””

    To not refuse counsel …

I was incredibly blessed (and helped!) by all of the people who took time out of their busy schedules last week to help me with my dvd project. (Thanks again, all!) But I’ve been reflecting for the last few days on how it was HARD to receive the … well … constructive criticism. Even from friends! Dear, wonderful, giving, wise, loving FRIENDS who I HAD APPROACHED and ASKED for their counsel. (!!) Isn’t that just crazy? (OR … isn’t that just a great example of our depraved hearts and how desperate we are for Christ?) Anyway … thankfully … God graciously gave me a teachable heart and I SLOWED DOWN…
