Welcome to my blog!
I’ve been receiving quite a few personal emails from people who are visiting my blog this week for the first time, so I thought I’d give a little “tour” to (hopefully!) introduce some key components to you.
– FrapprMap & discussion group: In the upper right-hand corner, you’ll see a button that says, “Where are we?” and a link to our discussion group too. If you would like to visually SEE where we are located, the FrapprMap is a fun, free tool that you can join. I’ve also tried to make our dialogues more convenient for you by setting up a discussion board that allows YOU to choose the topics and post specific questions (rather than waiting for me to blog on a certain topic). Please do click through and jump right in! We would love to get to know you more.
– Search Past Blog Entries & Categories: Since starting this blog, I have posted over 300 entries on topics such as Christian Marriage, Peace with Food, Perfectionism & Shame, Suffering (and others too!). We also have hundreds of insightful comments from other participants for your review. If you are drawn to a certain topic, I encourage you to click on the list of categories or search by keyword–and then hopefully participate yourself too! 🙂
– My Resources: If you’re looking for a signed copy of my book or a (deeply-discounted) CD of my testimony or various teachings I’ve done on topics such as women & peacemaking, mother/daughter conflicts, holiday conflicts, or “Oceans of Emotions: Effectively Ministering Peace to Women” … this is the place for you. Sophie & I love to visit our post office to keep your costs low (media mail!) and I’m happy to reduce costs for large/group orders. So please let me know how we can bless you & yours.
– Recommended Resources: These are some of the books that I (almost always!) sell out of my women’s retreats and conferences. You can click through on any book and it’ll take you right to Amazon.com. (Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure, I want you to understand that if you do click through to Amazon from my site and purchase ANYTHING (diapers, washing machine, or the books listed here), I do receive a tiny “finder’s fee.” It doesn’t cost you anything additional–but I wanted to make sure you knew that.)
– Tara’s Events: If you’d like to know where I’ll be and when, this is a brief list of most of my events. (Some events prefer that I not list them because they want to keep the attendance low/private.) Thanks to everyone who has dropped me notes letting me know that you are praying for me too!
OK, I think that’s about it for the blog. My general website is pretty self-explanatory with the tabs across the top … you can learn more about my Speaking Services and Conciliation Services by visiting those pages (and I even have online forms for both events and conciliation cases too).
