Last Pics from our Trip
Auntie Kali treated us to a super fun time in Chicago—the Museum of Science and Industry, Navy Pier, The Field Museum, The Aquarium/Oceanarium, the Children’s Museum … we are museum’d UP! Plus, we loved getting to spend time with Grandma Chris and the extended Barthel family during the Easter holiday … Our drive home with a stop at Mount Rushmore wasn’t quite what we expected/desired, but we made the best of it. Nice view, eh? Here’s the view that made the whole thing fun anyway …

Chicago Museum Days
We were sad to leave my mom and Charlie—I can’t help but wonder how many more visits we will all have together. The brevity of life seems particularly short these days: Since we were driving right past it on the way to our hotel, we stopped for a short visit to The Museum of Science and Industry (where my sister and I both used to work): We then enjoyed a restful night and a fancy-schmancy breakfast delivered to our room: And headed out to The Field Museum:
